A large, green plant that, the moment it comes in contact, will wrap it's snake-like tendrils from your ankles up, eventually strangling the victim. The more the victim resists the hold of the Devil's Snare, the quicker and harder it will wind around you. It likes dark, damp conditions (as in caves and dungeons).
