Salazar Slytherin was one of the Four Founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft
and Wizardry; however, he left the school after a dispute over the admission of Muggle-born children. Before he left, however,
Slytherin built a secret chamber miles underneath Hogwarts whoch would only open when his true heir returned to the school.
His nick-name was Serpent-tongue, due to the fact that he was a Parselmouth. His "true heir" is Voldemort, therefore meaning
that his mother was descended from Slytherin.
