Tom Marvolo Riddle was a student at Hogwarts fifty years ago, as well
as Lord Voldemort as a (rather handsome and very brilliant) teenager. He had jet-black hair like Harry, although he was much
taller. While he was at Hogwarts, Tom revieved a Medal for Magical Merit, a gold shield with Special Services to the School,
was Prefect and Head Boy, and belonged to Slytherin. He is the true heir to Slytherin, and got Hagrid expelled, claiming that
the giant acramantula (Aragog) he was keeping in the school was the monster from the Chamber of Secrets, although he
was doing this only to protect himself. Aragog killed no one. His father, Tom Riddle Sr., was a Muggle, his mother,
Merope Riddle (maiden name Gaunt) was a witch. She died giving birth to him, and his father left before he was born.
After his birth (his mother lived just long enough to name him: Tom after his father, Marvolo after his grandfather). His
parents lived in a town called Little Hangleton, and he murdered his father and father's parents in GOF.
