Professor Sybill Trelawny
Sybill Trelawny is the Divination professor at Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry, although she begins teaching jointly with Firenze the Centaur in Order of the Phoenix. Professor
Trelawny is very thin, with large glasses which make her eyes seem several times larger than they really are. She has a soft,
misty voice and wears a "gauzy, spangled shawl" and heaps of jewelery around her long, thin neck, arms, and hands. Sybill
is very dramatic, always saying that her "Inner Eye" is calling to her, when she really rarely makes real predictions. She
predicts Harry's very gruesome and painful death almost every class, with the rare exception in Order of the Phoenix, when
Harry gives his interview on Voldemort's return for The Quibbler, defying Professor Umbridge, whom Professr Trelwany absolutely
hates. her great-grandmother was Cassandra Trelawny, the Wizarding Worlds most celebrated Seer.
