Dean Thomas is another one of Harry's rather close Hogwarts friends. He
is African-American and even taller than Ron. He is also quite good at
drawing, and is very good with a quill- he even offered
to sign Harry's Hogsmeade permission form as Uncle Vernon. Dean is a big fan of the West Ham Football Team (he even keeps
their poster tacked up in the dormitory), his worst fear is a severed hand, and he dates Ginny at the very end of OoTP
and the first half of HBP.
