Philosopher's Stone
Chapter Four
The Keeper of the Keys

Summary:
Hagrid barges into the Hut-on-the-Rock (God, I love saying that-- Hut-on-the-Rock-- isn't that just the coolest thing ever?!) to find that Harry has not yet so much as seen the inside of any of the Hogwarts letters, and explains to him (amid Uncle Vernon's furious protestations) the whole you're a wizard, Voldemort's evil, spellbooks, yaddah yaddah yaddah thing. He also brings Harry his first real birthday presant, a slightly squashed chocolate birthday cake with "Happy Birthday Harry" written in green icing. Hagrid attempts to transfigure Dudley into a pig, but only manages to give him a tail (probably because he was already so much like a pig that there wasn't much else left to do). Uncle Vernon calls Dumbledore a "Crackpot old fool." Ooh, somebody's in trouble....
