Magical Creatures P
PHOENIXES
Phoenixes are magnificent and highly unusual creatures. The strangeness
of the phoenix is due to their ability to carry immensely heavy loads and the healing powers of their fat, pearly tears. They
are also unusual because of the manner in which they die: at a certain time, they burn, and are then reborn from the ashes.
Phoenixes sport crimson and gold plumage and are extremely loyal. Dumbledore owns (orowned R.I.P.)
a phoenix named Fawkes, and his organization created to defeat Voldemort is named after the phoenix (The Order
of the Phoenix). They, when full grown, have a long tail of glimmering gold and with the length of a peacock's, beady black
eyes, glossy feathers, gleaming gold talons, long, sharp golden beaks, and are the size of a swan. Their wide scarlet
wings radiate heat and an odd golden glow.
PIXIES, CORNISH
Cornish pixies are roughly 8 inches high and electirc blue in color. They
have shrill voices and pointed faces. They wreak havoc and cause mayhem every chance they get, and don't hesitate to harm
anything that gets in their way.
