Philosopher's Stone
Chapter Seventeen
The Man With Two Faces

Summary:
Harry enters the final chamber to find Quirrell, not Snape, as well as the Mirror of Erised. Quirrell attempts to figure out how the mirror works so that he could find the Stone, but fails to. He forces Harry to stand in front of the mirror and tell him how to find the Stone, but Harry lies; however, Voldemort (wherever he is) realizes this and asks to speak to Harry face to face. Harry is horrified to discover that Quirrell has been hiding Voldemort under the funny-smelling turban all year (guess that means that Fred and George were pelting Voldemort's face with snowballs, then!), and that he was the one trying to throw Harry off of his broom at the Quidditch match, not Snape, who was really trying to save him. In the end, Harry gets the stone and Quirrell is killed while touching Harry, due to the powerful spell placed upon him when his mother died to save him. And all ends happily ever after... well, almost, anyway.      ;)
