Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions is Diagon Alley's clothing shop (or robe shop, in this case). Madam Malkin is a smiling, squat witch who dresses all in muave and runs the shop. She fits Hary for his Hogwarts robes during their first trip to Diagon Alley, before first year. The back of the shop is used for fittings, while people can peer inside through the large front window. Harry meets Malfoy (even though they don't learn each other's names) here before first year, and already dislikes him (definitely a foreshadow of things to come).
