The Magical Menagerie
is the magical creatures shop of Diagon Alley. The shops walls are all covered with cages whose occupants all squeak, squak,
hiss, and jabber loudly. Its animals include two very large purple toads, a huge tortoise with a jewel-covered shell, poisonous
orange snails, a fat white rabbit that constantly changes into a black top hat, cats that come in tons of different colors,
ravens, custard-colored furballs that hum loudly, and black, glossy rats with long, bald tails. This is where Hermione buys
Crookshanks.
