Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone

KWIKSPELL SUMMARY

Before that fateful Halloween night, Harry Potter had just been an ordinary baby. But that all changed one night when the most evil wizard to ever inhabit this world chose the Potters as his next victims. Ever since that terrible night, Harry lived with the rude, heartless family of his mother, and bore the mark that named him "The Boy Who Lived."
However, on his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter's life was changed forever when a stream of mysterious letters arrived for him, bearing an intrieging seal and emerald green lettering. At the amazing, unbelievable place that the letter leads him to, Harry discovers that he is more than a small, shrimpy boy with no parents- he is a very, very special boy. Very special indeed.

OFFICIAL SUMMARY

Harry Potter has never played a sport while flying on a broomstick. He's never worn a cloak of invisibility, befriended a giant, or helped hatch a dragon. All Harry knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominible son, Dudley. Harry's room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn't had a birthday party in eleven years.
But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messanger: a letter with an invitation to a wonderful place he never dreamed existed. There he not only finds friends, aerial sports, and magic around every corner, but a great destiny that's been waiting for him... if Harry can survive the encounter.
